Defining Lead Times for Your Part

To define total lead time for a part:


  1. Click on the Lead Time expansion menu.



  1. Enter the Tier 2 lead time. Yellow indicates a required field.
  2. Enter the Production Process lead time. 
  3. Enter the Standard Transport lead time.
  4. Click Calculate to show total lead time. 
  5. Constraint Explanation input boxes can be used for your comments. 



  1. Click Save at the top of the PDS.


Note: For a part that is linked to a Production Family, values for Steps 2 and 3 can be automatically populated by setting the Lead Time Defaults during Production Family creation. See Using a Production Family to Set Lead Time Defaults.
