Parts linked to a production family will inherit the values stored for the production family.   You have the option to set lead time defaults for both Supplier Tier 2 lead time and Process Lead time during production family creation.

To set lead time defaults for a production family:

1. Click the Lead-Time Defaults tab while creating your production family.
2. Enter the lead time defaults you would like to automatically populate to the product data sheets of the individual members in the group.
3. Click Create.

Note: Lead times can be overridden on individual product data sheets if necessary.   See Lead-Time FAQ's.
