Whirlpack is a web based PFEP (Plan For Every Part) database that facilitates collaboration between suppliers and Whirlpool. With Whirlpack, suppliers can submit packaging proposals, obtain approval for those proposals, and document packaging information (i.e. dimensional, pack quantities, load pictures of: part, part in packaging, pallet load, etc). 

Whirlpool uses the PFEP information to:

• Calculate packaging loop size per a part number
• Order packaging to support the loop size 
• Support the packaging tracking system
• Identify supplier capacity and lead times
• Report capacity constraints
